Hosted checkout

Hosted checkout is the simplest way to sell with Plandalf. You point traffic at a Plandalf URL and we handle the page, the payment flow, and the receipt.

Open the checkout’s Share tab and select Hosted link. Publish the checkout, then copy Your checkout link into your email, landing page, or button. Use the URL shown there rather than constructing one from the checkout title. A hosted link does not need the browser SDK on your website.

In After purchase, leave Send buyers here blank to show the thank-you page you built. Setting it sends buyers to that URL instead. A Purchase button’s own redirect takes precedence.

Testing before you publish

A test session uses your organization’s connected Stripe (Test) account. Connect it in Settings → Advanced using Connect Stripe (Test). Then return to the checkout’s Share tab and open Test mode link while signed in as a member of that organization.

The test link is for your team. Adding ?mode=test to a URL does not make it a public sandbox link. A requested test session can resolve to live mode when the organization has no Stripe test account or the visitor is not authorized for testing. Confirm the checkout’s mode before entering payment details.

Complete a Stripe test payment and check totals, taxes, coupons, and the resulting test invoice. In Settings → Advanced, View test invoices opens the test invoice filter. Check the payment in the Stripe test account too.

Test purchases are excluded from default results and skip automation sequences unless Run on test purchases is enabled for that sequence. A test payment does not by itself prove that fulfilment ran.

A preview session lets you rehearse the interface without capturing a live payment. It is not a read-only guarantee and is not proof that payment or fulfilment works. Use a provider-backed test checkout for that verification.

To test a checkout embedded on your development site, configure Test domains in Settings → Advanced. Those domains identify SDK requests from your development or staging page; use Share’s test link for a direct hosted checkout. See Add to your site for domain setup.

Common questions

Can I host this on my own domain?

If your organization has a custom domain configured, Share shows it on the hosted checkout link. Copy that displayed URL. You can also open or embed checkout on your existing site using the SDK.

Does mobile rendering need separate work?

Responsive defaults are included, but test your published layout on a phone—especially custom styles, long labels, validation messages, and provider return screens.

What payments are supported?

Stripe and PayPal today.
