Affiliate program overview
Warning. Early access Affiliates is live in the app worktree, but these docs stay noindex while the product is being hardened. Use the status matrix for what is live, beta or planned.
Plandalf Affiliates gives partners links, records the click on your site, attributes paid sales on the server, and keeps a ledger for commissions, holds, reversals and payouts. The same program can receive sales from Plandalf checkouts, the native Stripe source, or the sales API.
Set up your checkout
- Plandalf checkout: carry the referral into your hosted or embedded checkout.
- Stripe Checkout or Payment Links: connect Stripe and pass referral evidence.
- Other checkouts: report confirmed payments from your server.
- Subscriptions: link the customer once and track each paid renewal.
Referral flow
- Partner link: partner links use
viaby default. You can add other link parameters in Affiliates -> Settings -> Compatibility keys. - Click capture: the SDK or tracker records the code and receives a referral token. The token is also written to a first-party
pf_rtcookie. - Sale evidence: a Plandalf checkout, Stripe event, or API sale carries the token, a partner code, a customer binding, or mapped Stripe promotion-code evidence.
- Server decision: Plandalf decides the partner, rate, status and skip reason on the server. Browser metadata cannot set a partner, rate or amount.
- Ledger and payout: commissions wait through the approval hold, can be approved/held/rejected with reasons, reverse for refunds and disputes, then move into payout batches.
Live sales sources
- Plandalf checkouts: built in for paid invoices, upsells, order bumps and refunds.
- Stripe source: live/test toggles under Affiliates -> Settings -> Where you sell -> Stripe, connected-account webhook ingestion, backfill and reconciliation.
- Sales API: live for custom checkout sales and refunds.
Planned sources
The Shopify app, WordPress affiliate plugin features, Tolt importer and lead/signup API are planned. The existing WordPress checkout shortcode and MemberPress sync are separate platform features; they are not the affiliate-reporting plugin described in the affiliate source docs.
Reliability rules
- Partner evidence is attached before commission creation; direct visits, newsletters and ads do not replace an active partner click unless they carry another partner’s configured link parameter.
- A later partner click can replace an earlier partner click before payment.
- The commission basis is the paid amount excluding tax. Discounts are stored and traced; the paid total is already after discounts.
- Every non-earning sale should have a traceable reason such as
test_or_preview,self_referral,expired_click,inactive_partner,duration_endedorzero_amount.
