MailerLite's plugin collects signups on WordPress. A Plandalf button on the page puts paid buyers into a MailerLite group, which can start an automation.
No credit card required. No coding required.
WordPress
MailerLiteWordPress hosts the page and MailerLite holds the subscribers; Plandalf connects the sale to the group. A Plandalf button in a Custom HTML block opens the checkout, and native MailerLite steps find or create the subscriber and add them to a group. MailerLite's own WordPress plugin is separate and handles signup forms.
| Event | From and to | Through | What happens |
|---|---|---|---|
| Checkout opened from a WordPress page | WordPress → Plandalf | A Custom HTML block or the theme holds the SDK and a button with data-plandalf-present. The payment is taken by your Stripe or PayPal account. | |
| Checkout completed | Plandalf (paid via Stripe) → MailerLite | Native step | Find or Create Subscriber returns a subscriber_id and its status. Add Subscriber to Group then uses that ID to put the buyer in a group such as Members. |
| Invoice paid | Plandalf (paid via Stripe) → MailerLite | Native step | Update Subscriber Fields can write the plan name to a custom field each time a renewal is paid. |
| Invoice refunded | Stripe → MailerLite | Native step | A full refund starts Remove Subscriber from Group, which finds the subscriber by email. The person stays in your MailerLite account. |
| Subscriber created | MailerLite → Plandalf | Native step | A new subscriber, for instance from a signup form on your WordPress page, can start a sequence. Pick a group to limit it, and use Enroll in Promo for a countdown. |
You need a WordPress login that can insert JavaScript, a published Plandalf offer and a MailerLite account on the current MailerLite, not Classic.
Paste the Plandalf SDK script and a button with data-plandalf-present into a Custom HTML block, or into the page Code editor. Save the draft, publish, and open the live page signed out to test the checkout.
In MailerLite open Integrations, then MailerLite API, click Use and Generate new token. MailerLite's WordPress help uses the same token page for its plugin, so name this one Plandalf and keep it separate.
Open Automation, then Marketplace in Plandalf, click Connect on MailerLite and paste the token into API Key. When MailerLite connected appears you can build the sequence.
Under My Sequences create a sequence with Plandalf and Checkout Completed, limited to your offer. Choose a recent checkout as the sample on the Test tab.
Add MailerLite, Find or Create Subscriber with {{trigger.customer_email}} and the buyer's name, and run its test. Add Add Subscriber to Group, pick subscriber_id from that step in the variable menu, and choose the group.
In MailerLite make an automation that starts when someone joins that group. Back in Plandalf add Remove access on refund, pick the group, switch on Run on test purchases, test with your own email, and switch the setting off.
