Plandalf for MemberPress is now available as an open-source WordPress plugin. Version 0.1.0 connects a Plandalf checkout to the memberships you already manage in MemberPress.
This is an early-access source release. You can download the plugin and evaluate it with a compatible development server. The default hosted Plandalf connection endpoint is not deployed yet, so an ordinary hosted installation cannot currently complete connection. Keep your live signup flow in place until hosted support and your buyer journey are verified.
The supported setup must also use OAuth to bind the account and its host/domain. Version 0.1.0 still uses a legacy API-key exchange; its OAuth replacement is implemented in the 0.2.0 development branch and awaits hosted deployment and a complete buyer replay.
Your checkout, your membership rules
A membership sale has two important outcomes: the payment completes, and the buyer can use what they purchased. The plugin connects those steps while keeping MemberPress responsible for members, access rules and protected content.
For a linked membership, the plugin replaces the signup form with your Plandalf checkout design. Plandalf supplies the price and payment flow using your connected processor. A signed purchase event then tells the plugin which membership to fulfil.
That means your WordPress content and membership rules can stay where they are. Existing subscribers keep their original MemberPress payment gateway; installing this plugin does not migrate their billing.
One membership, several prices
Monthly, yearly and one-off access do not have to mean separate checkout designs. Link the relevant Plandalf prices to the membership they grant, then use a shared design to present them.

Captured from the running plugin on our local WordPress test site on 4 October 2026. These are demonstration memberships, not a production store.
The settings also flag differences between a linked Plandalf price and the local membership terms. Review those differences before selling: the amount and billing schedule shown in Plandalf determine the checkout price.
Payment events drive fulfilment
The plugin verifies signed purchase events, creates the corresponding MemberPress transaction and handles duplicate delivery. It also contains handlers for renewals, cancellations and refunds, plus a password-setup handoff for new members.
Our local testing has verified a Stripe test payment through invoice creation, automatic event delivery and a completed MemberPress membership transaction. The browser reached the new-member password screen. Full inbox delivery and ordinary buyer access to protected content remain part of the release verification work.
The automated checks cover additional failure and lifecycle cases. They are useful safeguards, but they do not replace a purchase on the deployment you plan to use.
What version 0.1.0 includes
- A WordPress settings page for connecting Plandalf and selecting a checkout design.
- Membership-to-price mapping, including multiple prices for one membership.
- Signed purchase-event processing and duplicate-delivery protection.
- MemberPress transaction and subscription records for fulfilled purchases.
- New-member password handoff and subscription lifecycle handlers.
Post-payment upsell pages are skipped in this version. Campaign-driven membership price changes are also unavailable. A countdown on a sales page should not be presented as changing the membership price automatically.
Get the plugin and follow the guide
Download the packaged ZIP from the v0.1.0 release, then read the MemberPress setup guide. The guide explains the server prerequisite, installation, membership mapping and the checks needed before replacing a live signup form.
The GitHub repository includes the PHP and JavaScript source, tests, build script and GPL license. Report reproducible issues there with customer details and credentials removed.
For a shorter overview, visit the MemberPress integration page. We will update the guide and release notes as hosted setup and the remaining buyer checks become available.
