Mailchimp order events into a Plandalf sequence
A store that also sells in Mailchimp's ecommerce flow uses a Zap to post new orders to a catch URL, so a Plandalf sequence can send a thank-you and start a promo countdown.

Native on one side, webhook on the other
Mailchimp steps are built in. Zapier only comes in for events and apps that need a webhook bridge.
No credit card required. No coding required.
MailchimpPlandalf has no Zapier app. Mailchimp has native Plandalf steps and triggers, so you do not need Zapier for those. Zapier fits where Plandalf has nothing built in: Send Webhook can post a Plandalf event to a Zap's catch hook, and a Zap can post a Mailchimp event to a Plandalf catch URL.
| Event | From and to | Through | What happens |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contact subscribed, unsubscribed | Mailchimp → Plandalf | Native step | These two Mailchimp triggers are built in, and Plandalf adds the audience webhook for you. No Zap is needed. |
| Checkout completed | Plandalf → Mailchimp | Native step | Add or Update Contact, Add Tags to Contact and Record Event are native steps. Use them before reaching for a Zap. |
| Any Plandalf event | Plandalf → Zapier | Zapier or Make | A Send Webhook step posts JSON to the catch hook URL that Zapier shows on the trigger's Test tab. The Zap can then run any action in an app Zapier supports. |
| New or updated subscriber, new order | Mailchimp → Plandalf | Zapier or Make | Zapier's Mailchimp app lists triggers beyond subscribe and unsubscribe. A Zap's Webhooks by Zapier step can post one to a Plandalf Webhook Trigger URL. |
| Invoice refunded | Plandalf → Mailchimp | Native step | Remove access on refund uses Remove Tags from Contact. With no listed app connected, the template adds a Send refund to webhook step that can feed a Zap. |
You need a Zapier plan that includes Webhooks by Zapier and a Mailchimp account connected in Zapier.
In Automation, Marketplace, connect Mailchimp. Build the tag and event steps for buyers in a sequence on Checkout Completed before adding anything else.
In Zapier create a Zap with the Webhooks by Zapier trigger, Catch Hook, and copy the custom URL from its Test tab.
In your sequence add Send Webhook with that URL, POST, and a JSON payload with email, offer and total filled from trigger variables. Run the test so Zapier receives a sample.
Add the Zapier action you need, mapping the fields from the caught request. Turn the Zap on.
Create a Plandalf sequence with the Webhook Trigger and copy its URL. In a second Zap, add a Mailchimp trigger and a Webhooks by Zapier POST action pointing at that URL.
Send one real event each way and confirm the Events view in Plandalf and the Zap history both show it.

The checkout posts to a Zap, which adds a row to a sheet and a task for fulfilment, while the Mailchimp tag still comes from a native step.
