Webflow shows the offer, Plandalf takes the order, and Mailchimp gets the buyer as a tagged contact with an event for a Customer Journey.

Webflow
MailchimpPlandalf does not sync Webflow forms or Webflow Ecommerce with Mailchimp. A Webflow button opens the Plandalf checkout; after payment a Plandalf sequence uses native Mailchimp steps to add the contact, apply tags and record an event. Mailchimp subscribe and unsubscribe events can start a Plandalf sequence.
| Event | From and to | Through | What happens |
|---|---|---|---|
| Checkout opened from a page | Webflow → Plandalf | The Plandalf script goes in the site's Footer code, and a button with the data-plandalf-present attribute opens the offer. Nothing is stored in Webflow. | |
| Checkout completed | Plandalf → Mailchimp | Native step | Add or Update Contact puts the buyer in the audience you pick. Add Tags to Contact marks what they bought. |
| Purchase event for a journey | Plandalf → Mailchimp | Native step | Record Event sends a named event, for example started_trial, and a Customer Journey that starts on that event name sends the emails. Events carry no revenue. |
| Contact subscribed | Mailchimp → Plandalf | Native step | Plandalf adds a webhook to the audience when you save the trigger. A sequence can then enrol each new subscriber in a promo, shown as a countdown on a Webflow page. |
| Invoice refunded | Plandalf → Mailchimp | Native step | The Remove access on refund template runs Remove Tags from Contact once the invoice is fully refunded in Stripe. |
You need a Mailchimp API key, an audience for buyers, and a Webflow site published with the Plandalf script.
Paste your Plandalf SDK script into Site settings, Custom code, Footer code. On the button, add the custom attribute data-plandalf-present set to the offer slug, publish, and open the live page signed out to check the amount.
In Mailchimp go to Extras, API keys and click Create A Key. Copy the whole key including the data centre part after the dash, such as -us21.
In Plandalf open Automation, Marketplace and connect Mailchimp under Available now. Paste the key into API Key and wait for Mailchimp connected.
Create a sequence on Checkout Completed for the Webflow offer. Add Mailchimp, Add Tags to Contact, pick the Audience, set Email Address to {{trigger.customer_email}} and add a tag such as Webflow buyer. Leave Status for New Contacts on Subscribed only if buyers agreed to marketing email.
Add Mailchimp, Record Event with Event Name purchased_course and an Event Properties pair of plan and {{trigger.line_items_summary}}. In Mailchimp build a Customer Journey that starts on the same event name.
Switch on Run on test purchases, buy from the published Webflow page with a Stripe test card, and check the contact, tag and journey in Mailchimp. Switch the setting off afterwards.

A studio selling workshop seats on Webflow records an event per workshop, and a Customer Journey sends the joining details and a reminder sequence.
