A static portfolio sells a print guide. Buyers land in a Flodesk segment that triggers a delivery email, with a countdown image for the next release.
Checkout embed
One script tag puts the checkout on a plain HTML page, and a webhook step moves the paid buyer into a Flodesk segment.
No credit card required. No coding required.
FlodeskPlandalf has no native Flodesk steps. A static HTML page loads the Plandalf script and opens the offer; after payment a Send Webhook step can call Flodesk's API to add the buyer to a segment, or you can route it through Zapier's Webhooks. Flodesk also lists its own webhooks for subscriber events.
| Event | From and to | Through | What happens |
|---|---|---|---|
| Checkout opened | HTML → Plandalf | A button with data-plandalf-present opens the offer, and a div with data-plandalf-mount renders it inline. | |
| Checkout completed | Plandalf → Flodesk | Webhook | Send Webhook posts to Flodesk's subscribers endpoint with email, first_name and segment_ids. The segment ID decides which workflow picks the buyer up. |
| New subscriber | Flodesk → Plandalf | Zapier or Make | Plandalf's own Flodesk notes say the workflow builder has no webhook action, so a Zap with Webhooks by Zapier posts new subscribers to a Plandalf catch URL for Enroll in Promo. |
| Subscriber webhooks | Flodesk → Plandalf | Webhook | Flodesk's API can register webhooks for subscriber.created, subscriber.added_to_segment and subscriber.unsubscribed. Check the delivered payload before pointing one at a Plandalf catch URL. |
| Countdown in an email | Plandalf → Flodesk | By hand | An image tag in a Flodesk HTML block shows the countdown. Per-recipient deadlines depend on the merge tag your Flodesk plan supports. |
No framework is needed on the page. Flodesk's API uses a personal API key with Basic authentication.
Put the SDK script tag on the page, then a button with data-plandalf-present set to the offer slug. Open the page, click through, and check the amount before wiring anything else.
In Flodesk make a segment for buyers and build the workflow that starts when someone is added to it. Note the segment ID.
Create a personal API key in your Flodesk account and read Flodesk's API docs for how to send it as a Basic authorization header.
Start on Checkout Completed for your offer. Add Send Webhook, method POST, the subscribers URL, the Authorization header and a JSON payload with email as {{trigger.customer_email}}, first_name from the first name variable and segment_ids as a list holding your segment ID.
Run the step's test with your own email, look for the subscriber and segment in Flodesk, then buy with a Stripe test card and Run on test purchases on.

A one-page site sells tickets, adds each buyer to a segment and lets a Flodesk workflow send reminders closer to the date.
