Event and conference tickets
Ticket buyers get the year's tag, and the purchase event starts a Drip workflow with the schedule, travel and venue emails. Segmenting by tag later gives you last year's attendees for the next sale.
Native integration
A Stripe payment in a Plandalf checkout adds the buyer to Drip, tags them and records a purchase event that your Drip workflow starts from.
No credit card required. No coding required.
DripPlandalf connects them with native Drip steps and no direct Stripe-to-Drip sync. Stripe takes the payment in a Plandalf checkout, then a sequence creates or updates the Drip subscriber, applies a tag and records a custom event that can carry the amount as revenue. Drip events such as a tag being applied can start Plandalf sequences.
| Event | From and to | Through | What happens |
|---|---|---|---|
| Checkout completed, tag | Plandalf (paid via Stripe) → Drip | Native step | Apply Tag creates the subscriber if Drip does not have the email and creates any tag that is new, so you do not need a separate create step. |
| Checkout completed, purchase event | Plandalf (paid via Stripe) → Drip | Native step | Record Event sends a custom event such as Bought Retain Live ticket. A value property set to {{trigger.total}}, already in cents, counts the event as revenue in Drip. The sale does not appear as a Drip order. |
| Invoice paid | Plandalf (paid via Stripe) → Drip | Native step | Renewals and invoices you send also fire this, so Create or Update Subscriber can refresh a custom field each time. Blank values are skipped, which keeps an empty variable from wiping a field. |
| Invoice refunded | Stripe → Drip | Native step | Remove Tag takes the purchase tag off after a full refund in Stripe. Skipped, not failed, when Drip has no subscriber with that email. |
| Tag applied, subscriber created | Drip → Plandalf | Native step | Plandalf adds the webhook to your Drip account when you save the trigger. A tag such as Lead can start a sequence with Enroll in Promo, which gives that subscriber a countdown timer. |
You need a Stripe account, and a Drip user who can open both User Settings and the Account settings.
Authorize your Stripe account in Plandalf, attach a Stripe-backed price to the offer for your product and publish it. Payments run through Stripe and settle in your Stripe account.
In Drip open Settings, then User Settings, and copy the API Token from the User Info tab. Then open Settings, then Account, and copy the Account ID under General Info, which is a number and not the account name. The token belongs to your Drip user, so a new token stops the old one working.
In Plandalf go to Automation, then Marketplace, and click Connect on Drip. Paste the API Token and Account ID. Plandalf loads the account to check both and shows Drip connected.
Create Ticket buyers to Drip under My Sequences, choose Plandalf, Checkout Completed and your checkout under Offer. Add Drip, Apply Tag with Email Address {{trigger.customer_email}}, a tag such as Retain Live 2027 and First Name {{trigger.customer_first_name}}.
Add Drip, Record Event with the same email and Event Name Bought Retain Live ticket. Add the Event Properties product as {{trigger.line_items_summary}} and value as {{trigger.total}}.
In Drip build a workflow that starts when a subscriber performs that custom event, spelled the same way, and add the emails. Then, in Plandalf, add Remove access on refund for the checkout and pick the tag in its Remove Tag step.
Switch on Run on test purchases, pay through the test link with a Stripe test card, and watch the subscriber in Drip, then switch it off. A step test changes the real subscriber, so use your own email.

Adding the value property in cents means Drip counts revenue on each purchase event, even though Plandalf sends no Drip orders. Product name in the event properties lets you tell the products apart.
A Drip tag such as Lead starts a Plandalf sequence that enrolls the subscriber in a promo. When they buy, the Checkout Completed sequence tags them as a customer and the workflow for leads can stop.
value. Plandalf has no step that deletes a Drip event, so revenue already recorded stays.value event property set to {{trigger.total}} in the Record Event step.
