How Plandalf reaches Wix

A Wix button linking to the hosted checkout is the main path. Custom Code can load the script on published sites with a connected domain.
Wix’s Embed HTML element renders inside a sandboxed iframe, so the dependable route is simple: a button on the Wix page links to your Plandalf hosted checkout, and the buyer pays there. Wix Custom Code is available when you want the script on the site.

What Wix’s own checkout can’t do
From Wix’s help centre. Wix Stores is a complete store, and these are the edges.
No built-in upsells on the cart or checkout page
Wix says it has no integrated solution for cross-sells or upsells on the cart or checkout page, and points to a third-party app.
Checkout is edited in settings, not the page editor
Design, form fields and policies are set in Checkout Settings in the dashboard. Essential fields such as email and name cannot be deleted.
Custom Code has limits of its own
Wix says tracking tools such as Google Analytics and the Facebook and TikTok pixels do not work through Custom Code, and that new frontend security since December 2025 can block older snippets.

Set it up
Add Plandalf to Wix in three steps
Start with the link. It works with no code and no plan changes.

Link a Wix button to the checkout
Add or select a button, choose a web address as its link and paste Your checkout link from the Offer’s Share tab. Use the Test mode link while you check it.

Optionally load the script
In the Wix dashboard open Settings, then Custom Code under Development & integrations. Click Add Custom Code, paste your SDK script, choose All pages and place it in Body end.

Publish and buy once
Publish the site, open the live page and complete a test purchase. Custom Code is invisible to visitors, so test the published page.
Gotchas
What catches people out on Wix
Embed HTML is a sandboxed iframe
The embedded code runs inside an iframe without access to the rest of your page. It is not responsive by itself, content bigger than the frame is cut off, and it cannot sit in the header or footer. We have not tested a Plandalf inline checkout inside it.
Embed HTML needs HTTPS
Wix will not show a site address that uses HTTP. A Plandalf checkout address is HTTPS.
Changing the domain deletes your snippets
Wix says assigning a different domain deletes Custom Code snippets, so add them again afterward.
Wix does not support third-party snippets
It will not debug a snippet it did not write. To find a problem snippet, switch each one off in turn and retest.

These steps follow Wix’s help articles. We have not published screenshots from a Wix replay, and Wix’s articles did not state the plan Custom Code needs.

Wix checkout and Stripe questions

How do I add a Stripe checkout to a Wix site?
Connect Stripe in Plandalf, publish an Offer and link a Wix button to its checkout link. The buyer pays on the Plandalf page and the payment lands in your own Stripe account.
Can I add an upsell to Wix checkout?
Wix says it has no built-in upsells or cross-sells on the cart or checkout page and points to a third-party app. A Plandalf Offer has upsells and bumps built in, and a Wix button opens it.
Can I embed the Plandalf checkout in a Wix page?
Wix’s Embed HTML element runs in a sandboxed iframe, so the overlay checkout cannot open over the page from it. Use a button that links to the hosted checkout. We have not tested an inline checkout inside the element.
Can I add a countdown timer to Wix?
A Plandalf countdown is a div with data-plandalf-promo, which needs the script on the page. Wix Custom Code can load it, but we have not tested the countdown on Wix. A countdown inside an Embed HTML frame would be limited to that frame.
Will Plandalf orders show in Wix Stores?
No. They are recorded in Plandalf and your payment provider.
Do I need a Wix Premium plan?
A hosted link needs nothing extra. Wix’s Custom Code article says the site must be published with a connected domain, and did not name a plan, so check Wix for your account.
