Plandalf does not have HubSpot steps or triggers, and it does not connect PayPal to HubSpot. A Plandalf sequence on Checkout Completed can call HubSpot's contacts API with Send Webhook, and a HubSpot workflow can use its webhook action to enrol contacts in a Plandalf promo. Update the HubSpot record yourself after a PayPal refund. ## Send PayPal buyers to HubSpot as contacts You need a published Plandalf offer with PayPal added and a HubSpot credential allowed to write contacts. Check HubSpot's authentication docs for how to create one. 1. ### Add PayPal to the offer Authorize your PayPal Business account in Plandalf and enable PayPal on the offer you will connect. 2. ### Start from the CRM template Under Automation, Templates, add the buyers-to-a-CRM-by-webhook template for that checkout, or build a sequence on Checkout Completed with a Send Webhook step. 3. ### Point it at HubSpot Set the method to POST and the URL to the HubSpot create-contact endpoint, `/crm/v3/objects/contacts`. Put your HubSpot credential in the step's headers, in the form HubSpot's docs give. 4. ### Map the payload Use a JSON Payload with a `properties` object holding `email` as `{{trigger.customer_email}}`, `firstname` as `{{trigger.customer_first_name}}` and `lastname` as `{{trigger.customer_last_name}}`. 5. ### Test with your own email Run the step on a recent checkout from the Test tab. The call writes to your HubSpot portal, so use your own address. Check the reply the Events view shows. 6. ### Rehearse a PayPal sandbox payment Switch on Run on test purchases, pay in the PayPal sandbox, and look for the contact in HubSpot. Enroll in Promo gives them a deadline for the checkout, which takes PayPal. ## Limits and gotchas - A new contact in HubSpot needs at least one of email, first name or last name, and HubSpot recommends always sending the email because it is the unique identifier. - HubSpot's 'When a webhook is received' trigger needs a Professional or Enterprise subscription and an existing record with a unique property that matches. Check HubSpot's page for your hub. - Send Webhook is a configured HTTP request, not a signed payment subscription. Keep credentials in the headers and deduplicate by invoice number. - Plandalf does not push deals, line items or revenue to HubSpot by itself.
