**Klaviyo**

## Does ActiveCampaign integrate with Klaviyo?

Plandalf does not sync ActiveCampaign with Klaviyo and has no native step for either. It reaches both with Send Webhook calls to their APIs, so one sequence can write a buyer to each, and an automation in either tool can post to a Plandalf catch URL.

## What moves between ActiveCampaign and Klaviyo

What happens

Checkout completed

PlandalfActiveCampaign

Webhook

A Send Webhook step posts to the contact sync address on your `api-us1.com` account, with `Api-Token` as a header. The body is a `contact` object, and ActiveCampaign changes only the fields you send.

Checkout completed

PlandalfKlaviyo

Webhook

A second Send Webhook step posts a profile to Klaviyo's profile import. Fields you leave out stay as they were, and a field set to null is cleared.

Automation webhook

ActiveCampaignPlandalf

Webhook

An ActiveCampaign automation posts to a Plandalf catch URL. Plandalf's ActiveCampaign page says the payload is form-encoded with `contact[email]`, which is why testing the sample first matters.

Flow webhook

KlaviyoPlandalf

Webhook

A Klaviyo flow Webhook action posts only JSON, with headers you choose, and each request carries an `X-Klaviyo-Flow-ID` header naming the flow.

Countdown in emails

Checkout embed

The countdown image takes `%EMAIL%` in ActiveCampaign emails and `{{ person.email }}` in Klaviyo ones, so the same deadline logic works in both tools.

## Write one buyer to ActiveCampaign and Klaviyo

Have an ActiveCampaign API key and account name, and a Klaviyo private key that can write profiles.

1. ### Start from the purchase

In Automation, My Sequences, create a sequence on Plandalf, Checkout Completed. Choose the offer and a sample checkout on the Test tab.

2. ### Add the ActiveCampaign sync

Add Send Webhook, method POST, to `https://youraccountname.api-us1.com/api/3/contact/sync`. Add the header `Api-Token` with your key, and send a `contact` with `email`, `firstName` and `lastName`.

3. ### Add the Klaviyo import

Add Send Webhook, method POST, to Klaviyo's profile import. Set the `Authorization` header to `Klaviyo-API-Key` followed by your private key, a `revision` header and `Content-Type: application/vnd.api+json`.

4. ### Read both status codes

Run each test. ActiveCampaign returns 201 for a new contact and 200 for an update; Klaviyo accepts the import. Open both tools to see the record.

5. ### Decide who owns consent

Pick which tool sends marketing emails to buyers first. Keep the other as a record only until you have rebuilt its automations.

## What sellers do with ActiveCampaign and Klaviyo

### A service business adding ecommerce flows

Lead nurturing and deal stages stay in ActiveCampaign. When the same business starts selling products through a Plandalf checkout, Klaviyo gets the buyer for the order follow-up flows.

### Leaving ActiveCampaign for Klaviyo

Buyers go to both tools through the cutover. ActiveCampaign automations finish for people already inside them, and new flows in Klaviyo take over from the moment of purchase.

## Limits and gotchas

- Plandalf has neither app as a connection. Both API credentials sit in Send Webhook headers, and the receiving side has 30 seconds to answer.
- ActiveCampaign's sync call changes only fields you send, and custom fields go in as a `fieldValues` list keyed by field ID, so look the IDs up first.
- Klaviyo rate limits profile import to a burst of 75 a second and 750 a minute, with a 100KB payload cap.
- Check which ActiveCampaign plan includes the Webhook automation action, and note that Klaviyo needs two-step authentication for anyone adding a flow webhook.
- A contact unsubscribed in one tool stays subscribed in the other until you build the sequence that tells it.

## ActiveCampaign and Klaviyo: common questions

Does ActiveCampaign integrate with Klaviyo?

Plandalf does not connect them. It can write the same buyer to each using Send Webhook calls. Check each vendor's own integrations list for a direct sync.

How do I connect ActiveCampaign to Klaviyo for purchases?

Build a Plandalf sequence on Checkout Completed with two Send Webhook steps, one to ActiveCampaign's contact sync and one to Klaviyo's profile import. The headers are listed above.

Can I migrate from ActiveCampaign to Klaviyo with Plandalf?

It covers new purchases during the overlap, not the existing contacts. Use each tool's import for the back catalogue.

Can ActiveCampaign send a Plandalf sequence a contact?

Yes, with a Webhook action in an automation that posts to a Webhook Trigger catch URL. Test the sample first because the payload is form-encoded.
